The Time is Now to Engage, Invite and Inspire

The current labor market presents challenges for all employers and there isn’t a one-size-fits all solution to solve this issue affecting every community statewide. With more and more businesses opening or coming to North Dakota every day, we need more people, but how do you get those people to come to your community to fill the open jobs? Join Pat Bertagnolli, Executive Director for Job Service North Dakota, as he explains his approach to community building and how together we can all make a difference.

Through his gift of lifting others up and storytelling, Pat will enlighten you with an inspirational message on how to leverage your own community through partnerships and integration. He will share his experiences working with employers, industry groups, legislators, the education system, and youth and how collaboration has transformed other communities like yours. He will challenge you with thought-provoking questions as he lays out a blueprint for success so you, too, can create a pathway to effective community building. We can no longer sit on the sidelines and wait for job seekers to come to us—The time is now to engage, invite and inspire.

    Learning objectives:

    1. The fundamentals of recruiting & retention
    2. The Importance of aligning communities, schools & industry (emphasis on our youth)
    3. Building a culture that people want to be a part of
    4. Leveraging JSND and our resources
