“Ethics in Business”
Join us to learn key steps to conducting a workplace investigation that is fair, thorough, and that will hold up in a court of law.
Learning Objective:
Ethics is the code of moral standards by which people judge the actions and behaviors of themselves and others. Business ethics brings the moral standards of ethics into the workplace.
In this hour seminar, we’ll discuss:
• Ethics in business
• Common obstacles to ethical business behavior
• The 3 characteristics of ethical workplaces
• The 3 categories of business ethics
• The 10 ethical issues most business face
• The role of HR in business ethics, including the elements of an investigation
• 10 Ways managers can keep their organizations ethical
• Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
These are the takeaways:
Analyze and assess organizational practices that impact operations and people management to decide on the best available risk management strategy (for example: avoidance, mitigation, acceptance). Contribute to the development of the organizational strategy and planning (for example: vision, mission, values, ethical conduct). Develop and manage workplace practices that are aligned with the organization’s statements of vision, values, and ethics to shape and reinforce organizational culture. Advise business leaders and others on HR matters. Co-lead in establishing the organization’s corporate social responsibility initiatives. Contribute to the development of the organization’s strategy.
