    We’re thrilled to welcome Darrel Hannum with ND Vocational Rehabilitation as our featured speaker for this month’s CDHRA Membership Meeting!

    Voc Rehab: Unlocking Untapped Talent for Today’s Workforce

    The presentation will explore:

    • Better understanding of what Disability is
    • Why hiring people with disabilities is good business
    • How VR can assist employers in meeting their employment needs
    • Better understanding of Accommodations
    • VR’s role in assisting employers
    • How VR and employers can help one another

    Presenter: Darrel Hannum

    Darrel Hannum is the new Director of Vocational Rehabilitation, effective 10-27-2025. He has worked in Vocational Rehabilitation for the past 14 years. He comes to ND from MT where he was most recently the Bureau Chief for Blind and Low Vision Services. In that role, he also ran the MT Business Services program and Self-Employment and served as the Tribal Liaison. Prior to that, he worked as a Counselor Supervisor and a VR Counselor. His prior experience was in running Employment and Training programs for a local non-profit organization for 15 years. 

    He has a Master's Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Kentucky.  He is also a graduate of the National Rehabilitation Leadership Institute. 

    In his spare time, he was an entrepreneur. His family owns and operates 3 coffee shops and a Coffee Roasting company in Havre, MT. His 3 children and ex-wife operate the business with help from their 25 employees.

    His life’s mission has been to help others and to help break the cycle of poverty.

    • Lunch and Networking available beginning at 11:30 am (lunch provided for in-person attendees)
    • CDHRA Business & Announcements will begin at 11:45 am
    • The speaker will begin at 12:00 noon
