Compensation: What Changed, and What You Need to Know

Dramatic changes in the labor market, the “great resignation,” remote work and rising inflation are causing an upheaval in compensation expectations for employees and organizations of all types. Have you changed your approach to compensation to keep up? Understand the current competitive landscape and prepare for the future with this fast-paced session. The speaker will address topics such as increasing pay rates for entry level talent/minimum wage, what to budget for annual salary increases (and how to maximize your budget), pay compression with current and experienced hires, and how to structure and communicate a program that supports attracting and retaining talent.

As Vice President, Consulting & Total Rewards, Megan advises clients on how to meet their organization’s goals through total rewards and compensation strategy. She builds and designs valuable compensation structures that attract, engage, and retain top talent. With over 16 years’ experience as a volunteer leader at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Megan has invested in building and strengthening the HR community. She is currently the national Membership Advisory Council representative for the North Central Region, which is the highest level of volunteer leadership within SHRM. She is the immediate past State Director for HR Indiana SHRM.
