Presenters:
Sydney Helgeson grew up in Bismarck and received her BS in Commerce and Business Administration from The University of Alabama. After graduation, Sydney moved home to pursue a lifelong dream and was crowned Miss North Dakota 2023, embarking on a once in a lifetime year of service. She had the opportunity to spend 365 days traveling our great state, connecting with people, advocating for her community service initiative, and even representing our state at the Miss America Competition. After passing along the title, she began a full-time position at MSA United Way as the Resource Development Manager. Through this role, Sydney appreciated the opportunity to meet and collaborate with so many community leaders and inspire change right here in our backyard. She is now the Talent Attraction Specialist for the ND Department of Commerce, working to bring talent into the state to help fulfill workforce needs. Sydney is also a member of the Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals Network and the Bismarck Mandan Civic Chorus.
Paige Kuntz brings a strong background in Human Resources with specialized experience in employee relations, recruitment, and workforce support. In her role as Global Talent Administrator with the Global Talent Office, she advances North Dakota’s efforts to attract, support, and integrate global talent into the state’s workforce. Paige develops recruitment strategies that leverage visa programs, collaborates with employers to hire and retain talent, and strengthens connections between businesses, communities, and Global Talent. Her commitment to building pathways between North Dakota and the global community drives her work and supports the state’s long‑term workforce and integration goals.
