Bridging the Generation Gap

| Location: | Elks Lodge in the large meeting room where receptions and dances are held. Members will go through the buffet line in the restaurant and order as much or as little as they want and pay the cashier. Members will bring their tray into the large meeting room where the business meeting and presentation will take place. |

Bridging the Generation Gap
Overview of statistics demonstrating impact of
generational differences in workplace:
• Definition of the four generations in the workplace
• Presentation of generational profiles of
Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Generation X and
Generation Y
• Discussion of common areas of conflict in the
workplace – method of communication, dress
codes, schedules, hiring ...
• Examination and practice of techniques to use to
enhance relationships when in conflict caused by
generational differences.
• Tips and strategies to use when interacting with
each of the different generations
