    Elks Lodge in the large meeting room where receptions and dances are held. Members will go through the buffet line in the restaurant and order as much or as little as they want and pay the cashier. Members will bring their tray into the large meeting room where the business meeting and presentation will take place.

    “Best Practices for the Workplace: Anti-Discrimination Laws and Other Red Flag Issues”

    In the wake of a flurry of sexual harassment allegations and scandal throughout the nation, ensuring that your business provides a harassment-free work environment and complies with anti-discrimination laws has never been more important. Understanding federal and state protections in the workplace (ND Human Rights Act, Title VII, ADEA, Equal Pay Act, FLSA, ADA, NLRA, etc.) what to do when an employee complains, and how to handle a workplace investigation is imperative. This session of the Vogel’s Law Firm’s Employment and Labor Law’s “Best Practices” presentation series provides an overview of the importance of continual policy review, supervisor and employee training, and other workplace considerations. Participants should walk away with a good knowledge base on key legal compliance issues and specific guidance on how to prevent and handle discrimination in the workplace.
