     “Total Compensation Plan Elements and Strategy”

    Total compensation is a “hot topic” for executive leadership it is a primary consideration for attracting and retaining high performing employees at all levels within an organization. How you reward executives directly affects your ability to attract, retain, and reward talent within leadership positions. It is critical that your organization focuses on a total compensation strategy to ensure alignment with the company, department, and individual performance.  This session focuses on how to strategically and effectively manage your total compensation plan and compensation “mix” to achieve organization goals and objectives while remaining responsive to the needs of employees. At the conclusion of this session, participants should possess a working knowledge of total compensation plan elements, compensation strategies, and the importance of linking pay with performance.   

     Learning Objectives:

    • Understand the importance of competitiveness in the market, especially in light of today’s dynamic labor market.
    • Explore aligning strategic goals with a compensation strategy.
    • Identify opportunities to make changes to enhance employee retention and engagement.

    Presenter: Julie Johnson

    Julia has more than 25 years of diversified human resources and organizational development experience.  Working closely with board of directors, presidents, executive management teams, and human resources leaders, Julia helps clients achieve optimal alignment of organizational strategy with human resources management strategy.  She consults on initiatives including, but not limited to: succession planning, organizational structure, role alignment, compensation and performance management systems, talent assessment, organizational culture, executive coaching, and leadership development.  Julia holds a Master of Arts degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, is a certified Executive Coach, Predictive Index® Analyst, and a member of the Graduate School of Banking faculty at University of Wisconsin-Madison.
